Employee Spotlight: Michael LaMoureaux
PBO Advisory Group turns our employee spotlight on Michael LaMoureaux, our operations manager.
A golfer, traveler, beer maker, pickleball player, super uncle, and all-around nice guy, Michael joined PBO Advisory in 2014 as a staff accountant and as PBO grew he migrated toward the operations side of our business. As ops manager, Michael is involved with all aspects of our business, including IT, marketing, business development, HR, and finance. It is this variety, and the opportunity to work with multiple leaders within our company, that appeals to Michael.
Growing up in Bakersfield, Michael knew he wanted to go away to college and where better than San Diego State University. As a proud Aztec, he studied economics and after graduation, started his career in the wealth management industry. After a few years in the industry and getting some good experience in the business world, he was ready for a change and joined us.
It’s well known around PBO Advisory that Michael loves to golf. He often represents our company in industry and charity tournaments and with a 10 handicap, we’re happy to have him!
His favorite local course is Maderas Golf Club in Poway. If he could golf anywhere, it would be Incline Village Championship Golf Course in the Lake Tahoe area. It’s easy to get on, the surrounding trees are beautiful, and the elevation makes the ball go farther.
While golf is one of Michael’s passions, he also enjoys pickleball, working out, brewing beer with his brother-in-law, attending his nieces’ sporting events, and traveling with friends and family.
Early 2024 will find Michael off to Italy for a family trip, which is great as long as he comes home soon. He’s too crucial to our operation to be gone for too long!
